Restarting the blog
Hopeful text about a new beginning.
After too many years of not writing (my site trmm.net hasn't had an update in a while), I'm hoping to get back into it. We've been hosting our own community here on (void*) for a few years now with mastodon and matrix as the main places for our friends to hang out, but we haven't really had a shared blog in forever.
So I've installed Ghost, hopefully configured the ActivityPub stuff correctly and set it up with our SSL terminating nginx proxy. Seems to work, so next steps are trying to integrate SSO via login.v.st, our keycloak server. Until then, I'll have to create accounts manually as the admin.
I wish there were a more vi like editor; this is not my favorite way to try to compose but maybe it will work ok.
Image adding seems fairly straight forward, the / commands are a nice shortcut for generating the markup.
Galleries are nice, but can't add alt text for them
Anyway, will this end up being another blog with a single post? Who knows! But if you follow @index@blog.v.st via your mastodon or other ActivityPub instance you'll see posts from anyone on the (void*) blog.
